Not Your Typical Drop Camp

Big Timber Outfitter’s self-guided archery elk camps are NOT LIKE traditional drop camps offered on the market today. Instead, we offer much more, such as pre-scouting the area, setting up a complete drop camp close to elk and less than 1 mile from awesome wallows and meadows, and stocking your site with everything you need to ensure an enjoyable hunt, such as cots, lanterns, and a wood stove. A kitchen tent is also provided lanterns, firewood, cooking utensils, and plenty of food (we cannot purchase alcohol, but if you buy it, we will pack it).

For hunters not needing assistance from a guide, a do it yourself camp is the way to go. We drop your gear, with your purchased food in a location of your choosing. You can stay up to 14 days in that location. All Usfs rules for Big Timber must apply to drop camps.
We even pack out your game from your camp. Maximum group size is 4 people. Observer/non hunter is same fee as a hunter.
Must have a inreach device so guides can keep in contact with you as there is no in person daily support. A guide will take you and your limited equipment by hose back to your drop camp and pick you up on your designated date.

Drop camps: $2500.00 plus tax.
Idfg license and Tag: $933.50 (Allocated Archery Outfitter tags).
Extra pack animals: $500.00 per horse
Weight limits: 160 pound for gear and food per person

Drop camps Do NOT include:
Propane, a guide, food, personal gear, sleeping bags, ect., horses left in camp, hunting license and tags, meat processing and taxidermy fees or shipping.
